Myrna is an environmental chemist at the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on the molecular biogeochemistry of organic matter in various environments. Myrna’s research group uses advanced nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) techniques to characterize organic matter found in water, soil, and sediment. This approach is complemented with targeted organic geochemical tracer methods (biomarker analysis using gas chromatography – mass spectrometry).
